![]() Back in 2018, a Blizzard representative gave players some hope that crossplay could happen during a Business Insider interview, stating “it’s a question of when, not if.” Given its age, it’s unlikely the game will receive crossplay and many players have already accepted that fact. If you want to complete story quests and make progress together, make sure you have the same quest step before joining up.Unfortunately, Diablo 3 does not have cross-play capabilities, meaning that players will only be able to play with others on the same system as them. If you’ve already completed story quests on your own character but join a player who is farther behind or farther ahead, you’ll be able to complete those quests, but progress on your own character won’t be impacted either way. While playing with friends, all your progress will be saved – all loot, quest progression, XP – everything. This will load you up to their exact location regardless of where they are in the world. If you ever become separated during the course of play, you can easily teleport to anyone in your party by teleporting back to the region’s hub city by pressing down on the d-pad on the controller, then you can search for the player’s portal in the town square that you’d like to rejoin. They’ll get a notification that they’ve been invited and can join your game.Īnd there you have it!
